About

St. Johns Community Garden 2 started in 2010 by a group of volunteers from People’s Republic of Produce, Bread & Wine and Red Sea. We established the garden on an unused urban lot, graciously donated by Red Sea, at the corner of N. Leonard and Chicago St. A group of volunteers from the St. Johns neighborhood and surrounding area tend the garden plots and give part of their bounty to friends, neighbors or food banks to feed people who couldn’t otherwise afford organic produce. We “work” because others have joined this effort by donating their time, energy, money and/or materials! Thank you!

Please contact us at: stjohnsgarden2@gmail.com if you have questions, would like to volunteer or donate to the garden. Or swing by and see what’s growing at 8911 N. Leonard St. in St. Johns.
